Welcome to my site! I’m a photographer and have lived in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Ontario, all my life. I’ve raised four children here and spent most of my career in the high-tech industry.
My love for the craft was inspired by my grandfather, an avid photographer himself. He taught me that photography is a priceless way to see life beyond the naked eye — that pictures are treasured reminders of moments lost to time. I am proud to carry on his tradition of photographing people, wildlife and nature but have also incorporated my passions for music and travel. My work ranges from portraits (singles, couples and families), nature and landscapes (home and abroad) to music events and product photography.
When I first started out, I was just a boy and I remember having to wait weeks to receive my developed Kodachrome slides in the mail! Processing sure has come a long way since then. My own set-up has evolved over the years, from black and white prints strung across a homemade darkroom to a highly sophisticated studio.
I love all aspects of the photographic process. It combines my artistic talents, my personal interests and my desire to make real connections with people. Most of all, it is truly a gift to capture someone’s happiness, passion or energy.
A few fun things about me . . .

I started playing guitar when I was 11 and have played in various rock bands since I was 16. Perhaps that is where my love of music and event photography comes from. I love the environment and the energy that comes from the stage!

Paying it forward is important to me. I’m a team leader for Habitat Canada Global Village and have been on homebuilding trips to help families in Portugal, Lesotho, Cambodia and Bolivia. I’m also the lead organizer of a large volunteer group in Ottawa that helps out organizations like Shepherds of Good Hope, The Ottawa Mission, the Ottawa Food Bank and various charity events around town.

Being in nature is where I’m happiest, whether I’m hiking, paddling or just sitting by a fire listening to the call of the loons with the stars above. One of my all-time favourite activities is canoe camping in Algonquin Park.
